Do you guys hold onto materialistic things & photos of your ex’s that did you horribly wrong?

"Just curious... Do you guys hold onto your materialistic things and photos of your ex’s that did you horribly wrong? People you never wanna see again? I don’t, I feel it just brings back painful memories. Better to keep those things tucked away in your own mind and not for someone else to find down the road. Besides that, I held onto my first wedding photo (I just got divorced). I find removing these things/photos deletes them from life and is a way of healing so I’m just wondering am I the only one that does this?"

Letting go... is there ever an easy way?

There is no one size fits all path and journey when it comes to letting go and releasing relationships. Although it is similar to graduating or beginning a new book, there are steps to take to end a chapter, union, or task before fully immersing yourself in a new endeavor. Material possessions are not the memory you hold inside of the past but can trigger your old memories and thoughts of the past. The dirty little truth is, it may be a good idea to rid yourself of old items if they hold you in a pattern and affect your energy negatively, keeping you from being able to thrive in the present moment. Be honest with yourself and how you really feel about your reality.

Getting rid of the item won't take away the pain or hurt, but can clear you of being a constant reminder of your wounds of the past.

Otherwise, see what use the item could be. A photo is easy to get rid of, but first, maybe you could do a cleansing with the photo to enhance the blessing of the past, to bless your future, and really cleanse your old partner's or friend's energy from you and your space. #spiritualactivities
